Today I share with you a truly unique event experience I was invited to recently.  It was the relaunch of the Hilton restaurant Tundra.  This is one of the few times where I was overwhelmed with details like the amazing design elements, designer portfolio, loyal restaurant following and history.  However, you are here to know more about the food right?

Well, before we get to that, I must tease you by mentioning the space.  Tundra is a beautiful restaurant.  Toronto has been graced in the last few years with a complete revamp of the “hotel restaurant” scene and Tundra attempts to top them all.  No longer do you have to worry about tacky carpets, burgers and fries, hotel staff manning the restaurant and even the kitchen.  Now we get to enjoy wonderful high-end cuisine at Toca, Senses, One, Stock, the soon to be revamped Four Seasons manned by Boloud himself and more recently inside Shangai-La, Momofuku not to be manned by Chang himself.  Now this is not a knock on those hotel restaurants who have been doing great things for years like Annona at Park Hyatt, Lai Wah Heen at the Metropolitan and the others but this is not what we are talking about here.
